Culinary Evening: A Tasty Trip Around the World with MILA & mosaic

Cooking is more than just preparing food – it’s about creativity, cultural exchange, and having a great time together. MILA and mosaic invite you to an evening where we’ll mix, stir, and savor delicious flavors from around the world.

The women of mosaic will cook vegan and vegetarian dishes from different countries with you – using ingredients from the MILA cooperative supermarket and beyond. Together, we’ll take a peek into the pots and chat about what matters:

• What foods are missing from MILA’s shelves to make good food accessible to everyone?
• What spices, flavors, and ingredients could spice up our kitchen?
• What does it take to make cooking, eating, and enjoying food something everyone can be part of?

Let’s cook, eat, enjoy live music, and have some good conversations!

Live music by Özlem Bulut and Orwa Saleh will add to the special vibe.

• Özlem Bulut is a Kurdish singer who studied opera in Vienna. Over time, she branched out into Sephardic and oriental music traditions. With her impressive vocal range and knack for blending different styles, Özlem brings a unique sound to the stage.
• Orwa Saleh is a Syrian oud player who weaves ancient Syrian myths, epics, and poetry into a soft, emotional musical journey through his improvisations and compositions.
